Here is a Champion framed Ossa that is called a DMR but I don't think they were ever made with this frame.

Dick Mann worked with a company called Yankee and helped them develop a 500cc 2 stroke twin, which was just two Ossa 250's grafted together to make a twin. The Yankee was only made a couple of years and then faded away. There was at least one Double Yankee produced {here is a picture of that beast) which was a 4 cylinder 1000cc Ossa endurance racer. I wonder what it was like to ride this monster.

Here is how the quad Ossa wound up - a failed experiment.

Anyone have any more info on this bike or the Dick Mann/Ossa partnership? I would like to know. Steve Wilson

Is THAT why "tree-huggers" don't ride motorcycles?

That green and white bike is not a DMR. It is an ST-1. Yes Ossa mad them. Not sure of production figures, but they were a good bike.tinkerer wrote:

Don't know what it is about them but the DMR bikes and those off brand Champion setups look so cool, man what a great time in FT history

the dmr shown above belongs to mike eades #1- I gave it to Mike several years ago- brought it to him when I was flagging the GNC at Hagerstown, Md.- it was in a zillion pieces- he did a heckuva job refurbishing it- I still have another dmr- an also a st-2 Ossa- if I remember correctly, the difference between an st-1 and an st-2 was the cylinder fins-
