Karts, Bikes and Quads and Outlaw Golf Carts will be lighting up the North Iowa Fairgrounds on Jan 6 and 7 for the inaugural Syrup Super Speedway and for a second time February on 3 and 4!

This is the first indoor coke syrup racing event North Iowa has ever seen. Friday night will offer a controlled practice and Saturday afternoon racing will take place.

The track will have 80ft Straits with 30ft deep corners for run off!! Yes it is going to be fast!

Pitting

Indoor pits!! Main pit area will be in Olson Building (200'X100' Building). The Racing Arena (250'X150' building) will be in the All Seasons Building. A dry heated tunnel is planned to connect the two buildings. Quads and Bikes will have priority on pitting in the racing arena itself to keep tires dry. All buildings are heated! Each entry will get ONE 10x10 pit stall. Extra stalls will be $20 per stall.

Outside pitting is allowed.

The host hotel for A Day of Thunder will be the CLARION INN of Mason City (641-423-1640.) Rooms have been blocked off for competitors, Day of Thunder event rates are $74/night (Normally $97). Clarion Inn has a bar with drink specials open till 2AM, Pool, Hot Tubs, Game rooms, Arcade and continental breakfast!
