On a Lighter note! 2 Weeks, 4 Days ago
Since George keeps Stirring the pot with those loaded questions (just kidding George)

What's everybody up to? as in building new equipment for next year, any cool stuff coming down the pike for next year? Vintage or otherwise?

I have a year long head start on most of you, I have one very nice brand spanking new 40 y/o BSA Twin waiting to hit the track at Oglethorpe in 2010. I am awaiting a set of header pipes from Sunny Southern California and I will be good to go.

1961 KR... Hopefully there will still be gas by the time its done!

I asked Hos if we could have a "project forum" allowing anyone with an ongoing project to keep the rest of us up to speed with the project, like a blog, photos, etc...

Hos says he thinks to put them in the "tuners forum" would be OK. So how about it Jeff, Dale, anyone else? Can you show us some pics of your projects?

Re:On a Lighter note! 2 Weeks, 3 Days ago
I got two. One nearing completion, the other still in the planning stages.
First bike a Triumph T120, stock frame and triple trees (a Strcker), reserrecting it from my brothers junkpile. It has matching numbers on frame and engine. When completed it will be legal for any VDTRA Twins legal class, including "Stocker 650".

Second bike, A Triumph T100, old school dirttracker. Will be in handbuilt rigid frame, have twin 30mm Mukunis, mag ignition, not certain yet what cam. Will have Harley KR wheels, front and rear, Betor front forks with travel limiters. solo seat with pad. Tires will be Goodyear/Dunlop 27.0x19 rear, Dunlop K180x19 front. I have most of the componets to build this one but need a few engine parts: a set of rocker boxes(complete), both pushrod tunnels and four pushrods, primary cover and transmission end cover. I'll be looking for these parts at a good(cheep) price. If some one has some of these parts e-mail me, we may be able to work out something.

The first bike will be ready by the beginning of next year, The second will be ready when I get it finished, next year I hope.

p.s. Kevin, I don't know how to download pictures, my computer probably won't do it anyway.

I will post some pics shortly, I just sent some to the fabricator making the exhaust headers.

Jim, You should see Jerry Kocinciski's late 50's Triumph 500cc pre unit rigid frame all alloy engine factory racer that thing is awesome, he's almost thru with it.

Looks good Jeff. Is Paul gonna ride it or someone else? I'm sure Jerry is building a good pre-unit 500, I've seen what he does before, the main thing is, they work. Mine when I get it done will be a unit 500, Classic class racer, it probably won't be done too quickly.

Yeah Jim, this one is set up for Paul. I spared no expense on this one, When I finish I will have two complete engines ready to go to make it a little less hectic between races, I can swap them out and have time to go thru the other one.

Very Cool Jeff, I'm sure Paul is really pulling for completion for the start of next year!

Contrary to my screen name and avatar, I do like the BSA's, I'm just not as verst in them as I am KRs.

Jim, It is easy to post pictures. I send all of mine to my photobucket account and attatch them from there. Do you have a photobucket account? If you would like help, I'll try to make the chat tomorrow night and help you, or I'm sure someone else could do the same. There is a tutorial at the top of the forum on how to load photos too.

I'll have to get some shots of my multiple projects I call my KR project. Be for warned, right now it looks like a bunch of parts pictures... Hence my comment about the gas!

Oh, and Jeff... Thanks for sharing!

Kevin,
Right now my Printer/scanner and computer don't like each other. We had computer problems some time ago and paid someone to come out and fix it. It would have cost more to get the printer hooked up again and we were already out around three hundred so we passed at that time thinking we could do it ourselves but it just hasn't got done. Until I get the printer hooked up pictures are not possible. You see Kevin, I'm from the PC generation---------------Thats Pre-Computer--I do well to send and recieve e-mails and go on the forum. I was able to get on the forum in the first place because Wayne took pity on me and gave me a lot of help getting on and everytime they change servers I have to e-mail Wayne and say I need help. I hope someday to meet Wayne face to face but I already consider him to be a very good friend.
