The Calistoga Half Mile Grand National to be held this Saturday, July 31st will be promoted by Bob Bellino. Those of us from the 70's era will remember Bob as the owner of Circle Bell Industries which did the majority of the merchandise for the Camel/Winston Pro Series.
Calistoga is the first Grand National for Bob to promote with all indications showing a successful event. By going to his website it is easy to see the hard work and dedication it has taken up to this point with a motorcycle show, ride to the races, Motion Pro Legends Reunion and more.

Steve Morehead arrived today and said the race track looks great. Six tons of calcium pellets is already on site which will go down Saturday morning. With this race part of our MavTV agreement, additional lights are being brought in to enhance the show. Bob has also rented video screens for live feed and replays.
The original summer swing to the west coast included a double header at Castle Rock, WA for July 24, 25 providing back to back weekends of Grand National racing. When Castle Rock dropped from the schedule, it left the majority of our teams a long way to go for a single race. Good news it appears the riders and teams know the importance of Calistoga and will be there to compete.
Bob has done his job, the riders are their way... now it is up to us (AMA Pro Racing) to give Bob, all the fans and the riders a quality event.
Weather looks great.
