The very popular Ascot Reunion at the Law Tigers AMA Pro Flat Track Finals is back again for 2014. The reunion is set to begin at 3pm on race day (October 11). This is a great place to meet the legends of the sport up close with some of the bikes that made them famous. Ascot, which was in Gardena, California, was the epicenter of racing for many years. The Legends Autograph Session is part of this amazing Ascot event, so bring something to sign, and meet all the legends in one place at the same time! The Ascot Reunion takes place in front of the stands next to the front straightaway.

RRCF Racing made the journey to South Dakota for the national at the Black Hills Speedway. We showed up at the track and chose to run the Bickerton/RRCF SV650 for this round of the AMA Pro Flat Track race, and we felt starting with our Hagerstown set up would be a good choice to start out with.

We raced the Castle Rock Grand National, last weekend. It was great to be at my home track.

On Friday night, we raced the short track. In the Pro Singles class, I led for most of the laps, then Brandon Robinson passed me with about two to go. In the the Pro Twins class, I came off third behind Jared Mees and Sammy Halbert. I hung with them for a few laps and then let them go, because I knew I wasn't going to get past them.

Sacramento went really well for the team!

We started off by qualifying 3rd overall in the first practice session. The track was very slick, but it was a lot of fun throwing it into the corner.

By the first qualifying session, the track had a small groove on it. I qualified 2nd behind Kyle Johnson.

In the second qualifying session, it was very dry slick and  I could hardly see. They watered the track for the second group, so their times were a lot faster. That dropped me to eighth.

I was in the second heat. I came off turn three in third, and noticed that Dominic Colindres's bike had started smoking. I backed off some. By then, I was in seventh. Then, Dominic's bike blew up, and Nate Wait went down going into turn three, and the race was red flagged. In the restart, I got off second to Kyle Johnson and stayed in that position.

In the main, I got a good start. I was leading it, but Dominic drafted by me. I got him back, then led the whole race down to the last two laps. Then, Kyle and I had a good battle. On the last lap, I followed him down the back stretch and into 3 and 4. I tried to draft by him, down the front straight, but came up short by 0.025.
