Belli Wins last round & Boastie international flat track champion!Belli Wins last round & Boastie international flat track champion!   Fully recovered from his injuries sustained at round 3, there was no stopping Belli! Racing a classic Wood-Rotax for the occasion at the beautiful short track at Terenzano in sunny Italy, he finally found himself back in the top honor spot! Even though he had to miss several rounds, this result gained him third place in the championship!

7 times Grand National Champ CHRIS CARR won the final round of the
Pozzani Silkolene Shorttrack UK Championship at Rye House Speedway
Stadium on Sunday. Chris said the standard of riders had gone up a
league after having to work hard to win his heat, as Ade Collins riding
the Buckingham Van Sales Honda lead Chris for 6 of the 8 laps.

Round 5 of the International Mefo Sport Flattrack Cup was hosted by the Belgian Speedway fan club in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium, making it the first ever flattrack race in Europe’s capital country. The beautiful and well packed Helzold stadium welcomed new comers Piet-Gosse Hoekstra from Fryslan, Andreas Perr and Helly Kaltenhauser from Bavaria in addition to the regular rider field from England, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

23 August 2009 -

The grippy dirt track of Heidenreichstein with its long straights and tight bends produced another day of extremely close and spectacular racing!

Title favorites this year was team Italy. Marco Belli was still out of action but they pulled a joker with short track veteran Andreotti Massimiliano to team up with Dario Magnoni and Luca Talamona! Team Germany looked strong too with both the Gatzenmeier brothers teaming up with Franz Strohhammer. Team Holland saw the return of Mick Jansen but was weakened after regulars had to pull out last minute.

 The short track in Heidenreichstein produced some of the best flat track racing in Europe!

Happy to be back racing were long time cup veterans Mathias Hahn & Tom van Nes. Still a bit rusty from lack of practice, they were all smiles of finally racing again!

New visitors from the British short track cup were Anthony Brown on his beautiful self build Rotax and Steven ‘von’ Hillary on his monstrous Red Max Harley-Davidson XR750!
