Devin and Sheldon Wenz out of Howard, South Dakota, packed up the hauler today and headed in the direction of the AMA Pro Flat Track opener in Daytona. On the way to the prestigious opener, the Wenz brothers will be stopping in Savanna, Georgia on the 26th for some testing followed by the Hot Shoe Nationals on the 28th. After the Georgia run, its off to Neeses, South Carolina for one last test session before Daytona. "I feel very comfortable going into this year, I got a new ’09 Kawasaki to ride and I have had more testing with this new bike than I have in years past going into Daytona, so I feel pretty good about this," explains Devin. The plans for the Wenz Racing team is to run all the singles AMA Pro events and also fill the remaining dates with the South Dakota local shows. Wenz Racing have a new website up to start out the ’09 season, www.wenzracing.com so be sure to check it out and follow the brothers on their opening season Southeast Tour. |

Excitement in the world of racing focuses on Chicago Friday night February 27th
when the 33rd Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series Grand Finale takes
center stage. This special event will be held at the beautiful new Sears Centre
Arena located in the NW Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates. In this, the final
event of the season, World Champions will be crowned in the ICE Manufacturers
World Cup Motorcycle and ICE Unlimited Outlaw Quad Divisions of racing. |

National Number 22 on the AMA Grand National Flat Track Series will have a busy Daytona Bike Week. The young versatile rider from Flint, Michigan will compete in both the AMA Pro Moto-GT2 Road Race at the Daytona International Speedway and the Grand National Short Tracks at Municipal Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday nights. The idea was put together by 2-Time Grand National Champion Gary Nixon. Nick will team with 3-Time AMA Grand National Champion, Jay Springsteen in the Moto-GT2 class riding the Pair-A-Nines Kawasaki Ninja 650R. In the Grand National Short Tracks, Nick will be riding a Honda CRF450R sponsored by Honda Pro Oils and Arai Helmets.
