Hoping everyone had a blessed Memorial Day with their friends, family and loved ones.
I spent my Sunday at the mecca of our sport in Springfield IL. chasing my dream of going fast and turning left. Four wheel folks may have the Brickyard, but we flat track motorcyclist do it in the Land of Lincoln on this important day.
This past month of May I raced four events on three different kinds of tracks. Three of which were Steve Nace All Star series races with lots of fast amateurs from around the country.
I started my month on May 3rd in Henry, Illinois on a skinny cushion half mile in front of a huge turnout of fans. For the heat races the track was pretty well maintained, but still somewhat rutted and bumpy and I went on to win both of my heat races. In the mains they stopped doing track prep because of time so the track was like a whoops section of a motocross track through the turns, and I ended up with a 2nd and an unfortunate stall on the line that put me a lap down and with an 11th place finish.
