KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 15, 2014) - Kenny Coolbeth, aboard his Zanotti Racing Harley-Davidson, dismantled the Grand National Championship competition on Sunday, June 15, at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa and earned the 31st GNC win of his illustrious career and his second on the young 2014 AMA Pro Flat Track season.
We left early on Thursday morning, and flew into St. Louis. There, we met up with Jimmy Wood at Race Tech. Brandon came and picked us up, and took us to TJ's shop. The guys worked on bikes till 2:00 am, and we were back up by 7:00 am.
We finished up by noon and drove to Peoria, IL for the Nace All Star race. We got there, and the track was a little smaller than I thought it would be.
I went out in practice and the bike set up was pretty close, but the gear was far off. I came in and put a few teeth on and went back out.
In the heat I came off dead last and worked my way up to third. However, they only took two so I had to go to a semi.
