We finally got within driving distance of an ice race. Bloomington, IL was our next round after Colorado. It has been on the Schedule for a few years now, and has always been won by JR Schnabel. But with the run of wins we had coming into this year’s race I was thinking we had a good shot at ending his streak. JR decided to bring one of his dirt track race bikes out for this race.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- AMA Pro Racing announced today the hiring of Steve Morehead as AMA Pro Flat Track Operations Manager.
During a successful racing career, Morehead was known as the "Findlay Flyer," and was one of the leading AMA Pro Grand National Championship racers from the mid-1970s through the 1990s. In all, Morehead won a total of 23 AMA Nationals during his 26-year professional racing career. He finished ranked in the top-10 17 times. Morehead was a fan favorite and was one of the oldest riders on the AMA Pro circuit when he retired. |
